How long does Product Recycle Bin keep deleted products?
The Starter plan retains deleted products for 30 days. The Pro plan retains them for 90 days. After the retention window expires, products are permanently removed. We recommend the Pro plan for stores with large catalogues or seasonal products that may need to be re-added months later.
Does Product Recycle Bin also preserve product images?
Yes — all product images are preserved in the recycle bin alongside the product data. When you restore a product, its images are restored to your Shopify Files library and re-linked to the product. Variants, option values, metafields, collection assignments and tags are all restored to their state at the time of deletion.
Can I recover a product that was bulk-deleted by a staff member?
Yes — all deletions are captured in the recycle bin regardless of which staff member initiated the deletion or whether it was a bulk operation. The recycle bin dashboard shows the deletion date, the user who deleted the product and the method used. You can restore individual products or restore in bulk from the same interface.
