Does City Dropdown slow down my Shopify checkout?
No — the dropdown loads asynchronously alongside the standard Shopify checkout and adds no meaningful load time. We have benchmarked City Dropdown against the native checkout and measured no statistically significant difference in Time to Interactive.
Which countries and regions are supported?
India (all states, districts and major towns), UAE (all seven emirates and major delivery zones), Saudi Arabia (major cities and governorates), Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. We add countries based on merchant demand — if you need a specific country added, contact support.
What if a customer's city is not in the dropdown list?
Customers can still type a city name if it is not in the dropdown. City Dropdown shows an autocomplete suggestion for the closest matching city as they type. For rare locations not in our database, the field falls back to free text with a note to double-check the spelling.
