COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked
What is the difference between my Shopify revenue and the cash actually in my account?
Shopify revenue is the total value of completed orders. Your actual cash is different for several reasons: Shopify holds a rolling reserve (typically 5–10% of recent transactions), payouts take 1–3 business days depending on your country and plan, and some transactions may be in dispute or pending authorisation. On any given day your available cash is often 15–30% lower than your reported revenue figure.
Does Cash Flow Dashboard show PayPal and Stripe payouts too?
Yes — Cash Flow Dashboard includes all payment providers connected to your Shopify store. If you use both Shopify Payments and PayPal as checkout options, both payout streams are shown in a unified dashboard with separate breakdowns.
How far back does the cash flow history go?
The Starter plan shows 90 days of cash flow history. The Pro plan shows unlimited historical data. For merchants doing financial planning or applying for business loans, the Pro plan's full history export is useful for demonstrating consistent cash flow to lenders.
